Tampa Bay’s 10 Most Expensive Home Sales of 2023

Thanks to still-high interest rates and low inventory, home sales in most categories were slow in 2023. But once again, luxury buyers didn’t seem to notice. Tampa Bay had another banner year in luxury real estate, with home sales surging 36% over the same period last year. High-end buyers tend to pay with cash, so the factors affecting most buyers don’t have the same impact.

Last year’s top luxury buyers hailed from Chicago and Minneapolis, and many were locals. This year’s top buyers are from California, New York, Palm Beach and Miami. For luxury buyers coming from very high-priced markets, Tampa Bay is still perceived to have value.
