Tampa Bay’s Gone to the Dogs

Long before luxury-condo amenities like Bayshore’s Altura included 4th floor dog parks alongside putting greens and pickleball courts, Tampa was a dog town. Back in 2010, when asked why she took her dog everywhere, Tampeño Laura Culver responded simply, “Because I can.”

For as long as they’ve been doing the research, WalletHub has consistently given Tampa top honors in its list of America’s Most Dog-Friendly Cities. In 2020 we claimed the top spot, and for the last two years we’ve come in at #2 (we see you Scottsdale).

Check out BringFido for a comprehensive list of Tampa’s most fur-friendly bars, restaurants, parks, hotels, events and activities. Here’s just a few!
