Tampa Property Taxes & Road Repairs
City of Tampa has approved a $1.9B annual budget that includes how much we’ll pay in property taxes in the coming year.

In advance of the new fiscal year beginning October 1st, a proposal to raise City of Tampa property taxes for the first time in 30 years was put forward to address a growing list of maintenance needs in the city.
Council members voted it down: The rate will hold steady another year at $6.21 for every $1,000 of assessed taxable value. Hillsborough County commissioners also maintained the property tax rate at $5.74 per $1,000 of value.
Though property taxes held steady, many homeowners will still pay more as property values continue climbing.
Commissioners also voted to spend an additional $8M on badly needed road and sidewalk repairs.
